Internationally renowned Australian baritone, Jonathan Summers, will perform Schubert's extraordinary song-cycle Die Winterreise in the second of our 'Resonate' concerts. In Australia after a season performing in Britain, Jonathan will sing the baritone part in Mahler's Eighth Symphony with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra in the Exhibition Buildings, and in June will appear in Peter Grimes for Opera Australia. While in Sydney, we are honoured to have Jonathan perform at the Gallery with pianist Andrea Katz.
    Die Winterreise is probably Schubert's most famous song-cycle, recounting with passion and pathos the winter journey of a young man who has loved and lost.
