A collection of films about Robert Klippel and his influences, including experimental work of filmmakers about the union of the mechanical and organic forms. The programme contains documentaries, experimental films -- including Fernand Léger's Ballet Mechanique 1924 -- and cinema classics such as Fritz Langs Metropolis 1926.

  • Robert Klippel - Junk Sculpture (no 1) 1965 Dir. Corinne & Arthur Cantrill 5 min. Shows Klippel sculpture in detail. Featuring music by Larry Sitsky.
  • Glas (Glass) 1958 Dir. Bert Haanstra 11 min. Contrasts the traditional handcrafted art of glass blowing with the modern machine process of mass production.
  • Robert Klippel Drawings 1965 Dir. Corinne & Arthur Cantrill 26 min. Examines Klippel's drawings for sculpture.
  • Madame Sosostris by James Gleeson & Robert Klippel 1979 Dir. David Muir 10 min. Gleeson and Klippel give an absorbing description of this collaboration inspired by the character of Madame Sosostris from T.S. Elliot's poem 'The Waste Land'.
