As a sculptor, Alberto Giacometti was known for his nervous, elongated forms, but he began his lifelong devotion to drawing at the age of nine in his father’s studio. He produced a large quantity of drawings in his career and he considered it a vital activity which he dedicated himself to with great passion. This forum brings together artists discussing their work in relation to the discipline and special qualities of this essential artistic medium.
