FREE UPCOMING EVENTS AT THE GALLERY
June events cover the range of exhibitions on this month at the Gallery. An incomplete world inspires the first burst of Celebrity talks with later speakers drawing on The Arts of Islam exhibition which opens on 22 June. With three free exhibitions of leading international contemporary art and the finest display of Islamic arts ever seen in Australia, winter is a great time to explore the Gallery after hours.

6 June Nosferatu: phantom der nacht The last film in the Landscapes of the Mind: The films of Werner Herzog series.

13 June The Iranian New Wave commences in association with The Arts of Islam exhibition. This series presents some of the most important feature films to have emerged from Iran in the last decade, concentrating particularly on stories of strong, resilient Muslim women and children. Includes Colour of Paradise (Dir: Majid Majidi 1999) Baran (Dir: Majid Majidi  2001), The Circle (Dir: Jafar Panahi  2000), The Day I Became a Woman (Dir: Marziyeh Meshkini  2000), Secret Ballot (Dir: Babak Payami  2002) and Ten (Dir: Abbas Kiarostami  2002).
