FREE UPCOMING EVENTS AT THE GALLERY
Late opening every Wednesday extends the opportunity to see the Archibald Prize before it closes on the 13 May. The Gallery also presents leading International Contemporary Art this month with three free exhibitions opening:

AN INCOMPLETE WORLD: WORKS FROM THE UBS ART COLLECTION Over 50 works from 31 leading international artists including Andy Warhol, Roy Lichtenstein, Lucian Freud, Damien Hirst, Andreas Gursky and Cindy Sherman.
ANSELM KIEFER: RECENT WORK Monumental recent work from one of the most important artists working in the world today. 
ISHIUCHI MIYAKO: MOTHER'S A highlight of the 2005 Venice Biennale from the Japanese Pavilion. Intimate and moving contemporary photographs.

FILM PROGRAM 7.15pm
Landscapes of the Mind: the films of Werner Herzog. A contemporary of Kiefer's, Werner Herzog was a one of the key filmmakers in the New German Cinema movement of the 1970s. Highlights include Woyzeck (1978) and Nosferatu: phantom der nacht (1979).
